I was about halfway through a grueling 2-week speech therapy in Roanoake, VA. Sitting in a lovely park on a beautiful day, processing conflicting emotions, and this was one of the things I wrote down.
Part of Me
A Madrigal, reformatted as a letter
On Things the Sun Would Light
My attempt at a Paradelle, a very challenging form. This one is about the European invasion of Native America.
Diddy in C

Tonight I Saw the Bathtub Tremble
Free verse about patterns of loneliness and isolation
Something…
A fun little quip I came up with. Reminds me of something out of a Dr. Seuss book.
A Firelight Resolution
This is my favorite Shakespearian Sonnet I have written, simultaneously about the death of a tree, and a toxic relationship.
The Stone Upturned
I wrote this one in high school, when I was starting to explore philosophy and scientific theories of the universe and multiverse.
Enter Leander, Stage Death
I wrote this one in high school, after reading the story of Hero & Leander. I submitted it on Poetry Corner and got crucified.
