If I Were a Dragon

A coworker was talking to me about dragons – we were reminiscing about Spyro, and also talking about how they had to be very dragon-like in their role. So I was thinking on it later, if I were a dragon, how would I be dragon-like? Which prompted this poem.

Ode to a Rustic Trombone

Creative Writing poetry assignment 2 was to write an ode. I chose the title first, which is funny because it’s bordering on profane, and I just went for it. Trombones are pretty cool I guess… But I’m not as excited about them as the poem makes out.
